First Impressions went live on May 30, 2011. As of January 10, 2012 the site is being remodeled (again!) to make small updates to the layout. New pages will continue to be added regularly.

What was your impression when first seeing this page? Did the page appear bland, interesting, or perhaps a refreshing change from the norm? Did the page look like a normal website or did the page look like a blog? Each individual has different tastes, and what might appear to be boring to one person might be interesting to another person. We often make choices by our first impressions, and that is what this website is all about, our first impressions of software, computers, and Internet topics.

Where are all the ads? This site has no external advertisements, no pop-ups, no junk mail, and no gimmicks, just honest opinions that may help you make a better choice of which software or website design might work best for you. The red logo is a link to the home page in the parent directory, and of the several good usefulnesses of the logo perhaps the main advantage is that it satisfies the site's color scheme begging for a splash of bright red on the left.

This site will have several green pages, but not be as green as I would prefer due to the need to have numerous software screenshots. At present there is no plan to use anything other than HTML and CSS.
